Hi everyone,
Here we are at week six. I chose to talk about the personal challenges I have faced over the last six weeks. I can only say that it has been extremely difficult between all of my daughter's issues and all of her appointments and all of my health issues and my appointments and trying to keep my grades up not an easy task. I have been dealing with pneumonia for the last three weeks and then the doctor told me that I also had Pleurisy. I have been in extreme pain and constantly coughing. I went to the doctor on Monday because I could not catch my breath he gave me a breathing treatment and it helped a little the doctor told me I had to get a blood test and a chest x-ray which I did. the chest x-ray came out clear but the lab work did not. He had me have a complete blood work up . My white blood cell count was up and the blood test that shows if you are at risk for a blood clot came back positive for a blood clot. When I went back to the doctor on Wednesday the doctor told me that I had to go to the emergency room and get an emergency CT Scan it came out that I did not have an blood clots in my lungs but it did show a mass on my adrenal gland pretty scary. When the nurses started my IV for the contrast of the CT Scan she used an 18 gauge needle really thick and hurt really bad. When the nurse took the IV she told me to hold my arm up really tightly and I did. all of a sudden I felt my arm slipping and it was wet covered in blood. I was bleeding out really fast luckily the nurse got heir quickly and was able to get the bleeding stopped. I feel like I got hit by a freight train and before I left the hospital the doctor told me I had to go see my doctor within 1-2 days so I went to the my doctor on Friday and waited for 2 1/2 hours and finally saw the doctor. He looked at me and asked if I was feeling better I said a little and he responded a little what is wrong I replied you tell me. He proceeded to tell me what they found was an incidental finding and any mass under 4cm was to be called a cyst. It turns out that I have a 2cm cyst on my adrenal gland what a relief. Here I was thinking I had Cancer because you hear mass and you automatically think negatively at least I do. So all I can say is Thank God for small miracles.
